Since 1999, we’ve been connecting skilled and committed volunteers with schools and academies in England and recently we have expanded our service into Wales. About the role
We're looking for a Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinator to support volunteers to become school governors. You'll join our partnerships team and be supported by experienced professionals to help you thrive in the role.
You'll have a recruitment and placement target, and alongside our usual successful methods of engagement, we value new ideas and a proactive approach. You will ideally have previous admin and customer service experience, and this can be from any sector. You will match volunteers with school vacancies and support them through the process until they have been placed.
We'll need you to keep our CRM system up to date, and regularly check in with volunteers and schools to make sure things are progressing. You'll spend a lot of time checking in with volunteers and schools to make sure applications are progressing.
You’ll work directly with schools, local authorities and multi academy trusts to register vacancies and ensure we understand their needs.
You’ll help to fill some of the thousands of vacancies registered with us with skilled and committed volunteers. It's a fantastic opportunity to have a direct hand in improving school standards, and work with diverse and talented volunteers who want to make a difference.
Who are we looking for?
We want to work with someone who is passionate, creative and excited about working for a charity that improves education. You’ll be working with volunteers and school representatives, so you’ll enjoy talking to lots of people and provide an outstanding service.
You’ll manage your time well, including responding efficiently to all stakeholders and completing all admin to manage the process.
We’re looking for someone who:
- has experience in administration and customer service,
- wants to work in target-driven environment,
- can effectively use a CRM/ATS system,
- communicates effectively with a range of stakeholders,
- has excellent time management skills and is able to prioritise competing tasks,
- has an understanding of volunteer motivations and the role of school governor,
- wants to work in a fully remote role.

- Flexible working - Our working week is 35 hours with flexibility about how and when you work those within the hours of 7am - 7pm. We ask that working hours include 10am-3pm (with a lunch break!) to allow time for meetings with colleagues.
